Dr. Helena Urrea-Feldsberg is a third generation dentist. *Dr. Helena* was born in Colombia and received a Doctor in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the Javeriana University in Bogota. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine for three years where she received a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Dental Science Degree (M.D.S.). Dr. Helena is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is Board Certified in her specialty.
She had her own practice in Cali, Colombia for several years before moving to South Florida with her family where she has been practicing in Pediatric Dentistry in Dade and Broward counties. It is an asset to communication that she is fluent in both English and Spanish.
For Dr. Helena being a dentist has always been her passion. She was involved in teaching at the Dental School in Cali, Colombia, and was a Visiting Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Helena was also an invited speaker at several dental national and international conventions in her home country. She was an active member of the Colombian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is a past-president of the Colombian Society of Dentistry for Children. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, South Regional Representative for the Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is a Dental Consultant for the Florida Cleft Palate Association. She is also an Adjunct Faculty at NOVA Dental School, for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to having hospital privileges for General Anesthesia cases, Dr. Helena is also a part of the staff of the Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Team at Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital in Hollywood, FL.
On her free time she enjoys life with her husband Daniel and their children Mauricio, Eliana and David and granddaughter Hannah. She loves to read, cook and enjoy nature.
